About this YouTube channel ranking

This ranking tracks the biggest YouTube channels on the planet using the public statistics YouTube itself reports โ€” subscriber count, total views and number of uploads. Every channel name above is clickable: open it to see recent uploads, a long-form vs Shorts breakdown, an estimated monthly revenue range and channels similar to it.

Use the filters on the side to explore the same ranking by country (for example the top channels from India, the United States or Bangladesh) or by category such as Music, Gaming, Kids, Sports and Education. Country and category lists are built from the same daily data, so a channel keeps one consistent worldwide rank everywhere it appears.

One thing to keep in mind: subscriber count is not income. A smaller finance or technology channel can easily out-earn a much bigger entertainment channel, because advertisers pay very different rates per niche and audience country. That is why every channel page also shows an earnings estimate based on recent views โ€” treat it as a realistic range, not an exact salary.

How we collect this data

The same method vidIQ and Social Blade use โ€” no scraping, no guesswork:

1

We keep our own channel index

A curated list of the world's biggest channels across every country and category. YouTube has no public "top channels" API, so every stats site maintains its own index.

2

We fetch public stats daily

Once a day we call the official YouTube Data API (channels.list) for every channel in the index and record subscribers, total views and video count.

3

We rank and estimate

Channels are sorted by subscriber count. Earnings are estimated from recent views and category-based RPM ranges โ€” always shown as an estimate, never as exact income.

4

Everything is cached for 24 hours

Pages load instantly from cache and numbers refresh once a day, so the data you see is never more than a day old.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about this data and how to use it.

How is the Top 100 YouTube channels list calculated?
YouTube does not publish a global leaderboard, so โ€” exactly like vidIQ and Social Blade โ€” we maintain our own index of the world's biggest channels, fetch each channel's public subscriber count once a day with the official YouTube Data API, and sort the channels from highest to lowest.
How often is this ranking updated?
The data is refreshed every 24 hours and cached in between, so pages load fast while numbers are never more than a day old. The "Last updated" badge at the top of the page shows when the current data was recorded.
Why do the subscriber numbers look rounded (e.g. 316M)?
YouTube rounds public subscriber counts for every channel with more than 1,000 subscribers โ€” even on YouTube itself and in the official API. The figures here are exactly the ones YouTube reports, so they will match what you see on the channel page.
Can I see the top channels from my country or category?
Yes. Use the "Top channels by country" and "Top channels by category" filters to see the biggest channels from a specific country (United States, India, Bangladesh, Brazil and more) or niche (Music, Gaming, Kids, Sports, Education and more).
What do I get when I click on a channel?
A full channel stats page with four tabs: Overview (recent views, engagement, earnings estimate, top videos), Videos (latest uploads with Longs/Shorts filters), About (joined date, country, category, description) and Similar channels in the same niche.
Is the earnings figure on a channel page exact?
No โ€” YouTube never publishes creator income, so every tool (including vidIQ) shows an estimate. Ours is calculated from the channel's recent views and a category-based RPM range, and it is always presented as a range. Real income also depends on audience country, ad formats and sponsorships.
A big channel is missing from the list. Why?
Most likely it is not in our channel index yet, or its owner has hidden the subscriber count (such channels cannot be ranked fairly). Our index covers 260+ of the world's largest channels and keeps growing โ€” you can still open any channel directly with the search box at the top of this page.
